Who we are
WINGX is a a boutique SaaS company specializing in the provision of market intelligence generated from the sourcing and analysis of global flight data and worldwide fleet data. We are a small team, based in Hamburg, although we serve the worldwide market and we´re a globally recognized brand in our industry. We´re profitable and fast-growing, and aiming to use an imminent funding round to expand our presence to the UK and US.
Our mission is to break the mould of the traditional way in which market intelligence is shared in our industry. We want to be technology-leveraged, with the data science capabilities to source and integrate any relevant information from any source in order to enhance the value of our analysis. Furthermore, we are leaders in the way we convey our data intelligence, through best-in-class data visualisation, APIs, alerts, investor advisory notes and consulting projects.
As well as being data-passionate, we are avid about aviation, with rich experience in aircraft operations, service support and sales. Our team´s DNA is in private aviation, a niche sector which has flourished since the pandemic and is now poised to evolve into new and much larger air mobility transportation. This year we have seen record-breaking investment and innovation for private aviation and undoubtedly this is the most exciting moment to be a disruptor in our sector.
At the heart of our business at WINGX is Product Management: the brainstorming of new product concepts through the fusion of our customer feedback • our deep industry expertise • the creativity of our data research, mining and processing • the data science through which we extract the insights • the development expertise which fashions our dashboards • the marketing prowess with which we take our product to market.
We now urgently need an outstanding Product Manager to lead the concept creation, technical development and commercial design of our intelligence products.
Key parts of the role are:
Taking the lead bringing exciting new products to life, immersing yourself in our customers´ businesses, absorbing their needs and converting these to product concepts.
Identifying new user cases for business intelligence, brainstorm the optimal customer journeys, constantly translating between commercial needs and technical requirements, getting the perfect UX balance.
Steering product creation through to the best possible prototype candidate, ensuring rigorous internal QA whilst also achieving rapid pipeline development through your pragmatic decision making.
Managing the operational team to move prototypes through speedy beta testing, drive through the necessary technical refinements, keep the team momentum towards launch date, on time and on budget.
Managing the commercial team to develop the sales and marketing plan in parallel to technical development, ensuring collaboration and quickly escalating decision points as necessary.
The position will report directly to our board and will work daily with the founders.
The background and skill set
A good academic background, preferably a Masters, ideally in data-science related studies.
Several years´ relevant experience with a demonstrable track-record of achievements.
Strong aptitude for agile product management and can demonstrate successful case studies in your work. Evidence of Scrum Master work would be a plus.
Familiarity with lots of associated project tools like Jira, with database queries, programming languages, also with visualisation software like Tableau or Qlik Sense.
Sound analytical skills, rigorous attention to detail, you’re a quick learner, and you’re also very good at communicating and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong project management skills, very organised, capable of setting timetables and budgets, focused on finding solutions, ensuring that products get over the finish line.
