Business aviation surged ahead during September 2018 with flights up by 4% making it the busiest ever September, according to the latest report from WingX.

“There was a distinctive pattern to the activity, with relatively strong growth in private flights, whilst charter flights are tailing off after the summer,” said WingX.

“Very light jet activity has slumped since the de

mise of Blink, but light jet demand is still strong, especially in the charter market. Large jet activity was flat, with notably large decline in the UK, mainly effective at Luton.”

83,848 business aviation departures in Europe this month, 4% growth YOY, slightly ahead of YTD trend. 63% of this month´s activity was jet-operated, this activity +3% YOY. Last 12 month trends are now strongest in medium jet category.
